Fractional CFO Services on Microsoft 365

Professional services firms with 5 to 100 FTE already on Microsoft 365. If your team spends too much time assembling spreadsheets and chasing status updates, this is for you.

Who This Is For

Professional services firms with 5 to 100 FTE already on Microsoft 365. Sponsors are owners, CFOs, controllers, or operations leaders who can green-light a small pilot. If your team spends too much time assembling spreadsheets and chasing status updates, this is for you.

What "CFO Services" Includes vs. Excludes

Includes:

Our fractional CFO services cover financial strategy, reporting, and analysis. Specifically: cash flow forecasting, KPI dashboard development, budget vs. actual analysis, scenario modeling, and board-ready reporting packages. We also cover the strategic conversations — what the numbers mean for your business decisions.

Excludes:

Tax preparation and filing (we refer to a trusted tax partner for this). Audit and assurance services. Day-to-day bookkeeping is handled separately under our Client Accounting Services.

Why Microsoft 365 Changes the Equation

Most fractional CFO engagements involve a lot of manual work — pulling data from different systems, reformatting it in Excel, and building reports from scratch each month. Microsoft 365 eliminates most of that friction.

With Power Query, Power Automate, and Excel's data connection features, we can build automated data pipelines that pull directly from your accounting system (QuickBooks Online, for example), your CRM, and your operational systems. The result: reports that refresh automatically, dashboards that update in real time, and a close process that takes days instead of weeks.

What a Typical Engagement Looks Like

Month 1: We audit your current reporting setup, identify the key metrics that matter for your business, and build the automation infrastructure. This includes connecting your data sources, building your KPI dashboard, and establishing your monthly reporting cadence.

Month 2 and beyond: You receive a monthly financial package on an accelerated timeline. This includes your P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statement, KPI dashboard, and a written commentary from Hunter explaining what changed and what it means.

We also schedule a monthly call to walk through the numbers, discuss strategic questions, and plan for the next 90 days.

Close Acceleration

Starting Month 2, your books close and your financial package is delivered on an accelerated timeline, days instead of weeks. Industry average is 2–3 weeks. We accelerate your close from weeks to days because we've built the automation to make it possible. The exact timeline depends on your systems and complexity.
